Join members of the 13 Grandmothers for a 7-week virtual ceremony for prayer, healing, wisdom and blessings – to help us navigate the times ahead, connect with our souls, open our hearts, and awaken a deeper connection with the web of life.

Your participation in this virtual gathering will also support the 13 Grandmothers in their upcoming travels to Aotearoa (New Zealand), where they will promote peace and good relationships, engage in intercultural and inter-generational dialogue, and support traditional knowledge of the homeland they are visiting.

Deep down, you likely know that you are here to be part of the healing of our earth, and that the global indigenous wisdom traditions hold a sacred key to this awakening and transformation.

The Earth and her many children are crying out for our help, but with so many environmental, social and political challenges before us, it’s often difficult to know where to focus our energy to be of the greatest service.

Fortunately, there is a voice of real wisdom – reverberating from the ancient past – that is the very medicine for the individual and collective dis-ease that we must all face and heal.

This blessed medicine of our ancestors comes to us, not as a thunderous proclamation, but as a gentle whisper into the very heart of our beings.

It comes from the lost teachings of the Grandmothers, the keepers of our most sacred and profound wisdom.

The Grandmothers – respected medicine women and shamans from the Americas, the Alaskan Tundra, Asia and Africa – are at the heart of a healing that is bridging ancient and modern worlds, and weaving the human family together again.

And now you can receive their wisdom from your home, in a way that feeds your soul, while also empowering our shared work of collective healing.

In this groundbreaking, LIVE 7-week virtual circle, you will connect in a powerful and direct way with some of our world’s wisest elders.

By entering into this virtual global circle with the 13 Grandmothers, you can:

  • Receive greater guidance from your dreams and visions.
  • Pray more deeply and effectively – benefiting yourself, your family and the world.
  • Expand your capacity for compassion and forgiveness.
  • Heal and open your heart in deeper ways.
  • Enter into sacred ritual time, and respect natural flows of energy, attention and time.
  • Discover how you can be a channel for healing in your own community.
  • Connect profoundly to Mother Earth wisdom through ritual and ceremony.
  • Renew your hope for our future, and understand the unique role you play in it.
  • Connect with a global family of people who are committed to this holistic way of life.

"I had a vision the ancestors told us to heal the world. When we heal ourselves, we also heal our ancestors, our grandmothers, our grandfathers, and our children. When we heal ourselves, we also heal mother earth.”
–Grandmother Rita Pitka Blumenstein

For 7 weeks, Immerse Yourself in the Ancient Wisdom of the Grandmothers...

The larger Shift that is underway requires that we access ancient wisdom, powerful prayer lineages and healing practices to help us address the crises of our modern world – and bring greater harmony and sustainability to our communities, our people and our planet.

The International Council of Thirteen Indigenous Grandmothers offers a remarkable chorus of insight, stories and guidance. They are the fulfillment of many prophecies, and a remarkable example for our world. Together, they have created a worldwide alliance that shares a common vision – offering a source of great inspiration and healing, reminding us of deep spiritual truths and calling our attention to what is most important.

You now have the opportunity to connect directly with the International Council of 13 Indigenous Grandmothers in this virtual gathering – one session per week for 7 weeks – to share in the teachings of our ancestors, and light our way forward.

Receive Guidance for Your Role in Healing Mother Earth

Over these 7 sessions, you will be immersed in the ancient wisdom that the 13 Grandmothers bring at this critical time. They will share their visions, dreams, sacred rituals, prayers and ceremony – and give you keys for the most pivotal role you can play in healing Mother Earth, including all her inhabitants, children and the next seven generations to come.

The Grandmothers are here to help us usher in a new era that calls for unity, reconciliation and compassion. Their engaged activism on pressing social and environmental concerns, as well as their ancestral connection with the Earth, will help guide our way.

Sessions with the Grandmothers take place Wednesdays,
September 18th to October 30th, from 5:00pm – 7:00pm, Pacific time.

There will also be rebroadcasts on the following
Thursdays at 9am, Pacific time.

"The most important Journey we will ever take is the 18 inches from our mind to our heart."
–Grandmother Agnes Baker Pilgrim

What You’ll Receive During These 7 Weeks

While the Grandmothers have every intention of teaching on the subjects below, it is also part of their way to follow the guidance of Spirit, and to respond to the needs of the moment. So as participants offer their prayers, insights and questions during each session, the subjects may shift. Our goal is to provide a powerful healing, learning and awakening container in which you can engage the Grandmothers – and trust that Spirit will do the rest.

Week 1: Sept 18th

Prophecies Revealed: The Mission of the Council

  • Grandmother Agnes Baker Pilgrim
  • Grandmother Rita Pitka Blumenstein

The International Council of Thirteen Indigenous Grandmother was set in motion by common visions and prophecies, seeded decades ago in many people around the world. Some of the prophecies were held for generations by the Grandmothers’ peoples. Some of those visions were held by members of the Center for Sacred Studies (CSS), who convened the Grandmothers in 2004.

In this opening session, Grandmothers Rita Pitka Blumenstein joins Grandmothers Agnes Baker Pilgrim, sharing the prophetic spiritual messages that gave birth to this global movement – and sharing what is at the core of their work. You’ll learn how these elders see our current times, and how we can answer the larger call for us to transform our relationship with each other and the earth.

"We are here to let the beauty, love and joy continue, so when you walk through this journey, the earth is the better for it. We can give back love, generosity and forgiveness when we ’see’ rightly. Yesterday was history, tomorrow is a mystery, and today is our gift! What part will you play today?!"
–Grandmother Agnes Baker Pilgrim

‘The universe does not belong to you, you belong to the Universe.’”
–Grandmother Rita Pitka Blumenstein, Yup’ik

Week 2: Sept. 25th

Uplifting the Soul: Building Respect Between All Nations

  • Grandmother Ambassador Pauline Tangiora

We all live within a global planet. However, we need to accept that we are not all the same. Over the past hundreds of years, there has been oppression of peoples who live in a natural world – receiving what Mother Earth and Sky Father provide for our daily existence, and making it possible for the generations who follow to care and carry on to the next generation. This has meant that transmigration, whether by force or accident, has deprived indigenous nations of their place in their country – and therefore their society.

Week 3: Oct. 2nd

Reciprocity: Reviving Traditional Ceremony

  • Grandmother Agnes Baker Pilgrim
  • Grandmother Beatrice Long Visitor Holy Dance

The Grandmothers come from lines of prayer and ceremony that restore and renew our relationship to Creation, and to one another. This session will focus on truly living ceremony as a powerful way to heal relationships, create bonds of mutual trust, and access great energies that are not available on our own. From ceremony, we learn about the importance of mutuality and reciprocity.

“I started the Blessing of the Salmon Ceremony in ’94 on the Applegate River. I wanted to restore our ritualistic way so people would understand, be respectful and be careful of what they’re doing to the earth.”
–Agnes Baker Pilgrim

“Our people know that the land and the language are one. If we lose one or the other we are no longer who we say we are.”
–Grandmother Beatrice Long Visitor Holy Dance

Week 4: Oct.9th

Relationships: Walking in the Path of Our Ancestors

  • Grandmother Mona Polacca
  • Rita Long Visitor Holy Dance

The Grandmothers follow in the footsteps of their ancestors, and bring that wisdom to share with all of us. Indigenous traditions revere ancestors, and you’ll understand from this session how to create a deeper relationship with your physical and cultural lineages. This gives a sense of place, of rooting and grounding, as well as cultivating a state of deeper gratitude for life itself.

“The Sundance is very sacred to our Oglala Lakota peoples. As you support the ceremony in a respectful way, something good will come to you and your people as well.”
–Rita Long Visitor Holy Dance

Week 5: Oct 16th

Responsibility: Water as a Human Right

  • Grandmother Agnes Baker Pilgrim
  • Grandmother Mona Polacca

One of the key teachings of The Grandmothers is to take responsibility for peace in our communities and peace in our hearts. Part of this is developing a deeper relationship with the natural elements around us. By entering into this reverential relationship, we begin to know water, for instance, as the source and the mother of life.

Listen as the Grandmothers share about their relation to this primary element. Learn to connect more profoundly with the water inside you and around you – which leads to a real shift in how you move through life.

“My elders said, ‘Know where your water comes from. Know your fire. Know where you are going to find your food.’”
–Grandmother Mona Polacca, Hopi, Havasupai, Tewa

“We are Water Babies. Do not to forget to say thank you every day for the water you drink, the water you bathe in. Without our Mother Water we would not survive.”
–Grandmother Agnes Baker Pilgrim

Week 6th: Oct 23rd

A Future of Hope: Educating our Youth

  • Rita Long Visitor Holy Dance
  • Grandmother Julieta Casimiro

The heart of the Grandmothers’ prayers are for the next seven generations – so that the ways of life continue. As we educate our children in the ways of peace, harmony and balance with the earth, and with one another, we grow a world of hope. For our children will carry the action of peace forward into the future.

“Everything I do, I do for the next seven generations.”
–Grandmother Rita Long Visitor Holy Dance

“Every morning I get up and I pray for all sentient beings...humans, animals, even birds – they all need happiness.”
–Grandmother Tsering Dolma Gyaltong

Week 7: Oct. 30th

Celebration and Healing: Giving Life to the Prayer Through Sacred Song

  • Grandmother Julieta Casimiro

For all peoples, throughout all times, sacred songs have given voice to the deepest connections with Source. Songs open hearts and heal bodies; they call on spirits and banish negativity. Grandmothers Maria Alice Campos Freire and Julieta Casimiro use sacred song and chants in their healing ceremonies. They will share their songs and the wisdom of this sacred medicine of sound.

“Everyone lightens. Each one of us is moving and vibrating as we become one as the light beings we are. All of us have been called. All of us feel the change and know the urgency of becoming One.”
–Grandmother Flordemayo

Audio Session with Sequoyah Trueblood

Sequoyah Trueblood (enrolled with the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma) has contributed selflessly for many years in Canada, and the United States, and around the world as a role model for healthy leadership, bringing peace and joy to the hearts of many. As a ceremonial pipe carrier and with an “off the grid” style in his work he offers something most have never experienced: the genuine guidance of a supportive, profoundly inspired and diversely experienced Elder. His consistent ability to touch wounded hearts and sooth troubled minds with compassion and wisdom has endeared Sequoyah to both Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people alike. He has a varied background in leadership capacities within Indigenous peoples contexts as well as Western institutions including the U.S. Army, World Bank, Institute of Noetic Sciences, Harvard University Program for Extraordinary Experience Research, and Corrections Canada. Currently he spends most of his summers living from the Kankurwa Medicine Lodge at Cross River Wilderness Centre.

What People Are Saying About The 13 Grandmothers

This is wonderful work that you are doing. I am happy to know that in this world I am not alone. My name is Ambuya Stella Chiweshe from Zimbabwe. I am a great-grandmother at the age of 61. Ambuya means grandmother, my first name is Stella. All my life, the work you decided to do, 13 Grandmothers, I do it alone. At times I thought I was mad, because I had not come yet across people who has the same vision like mine. I have been playing my sacred traditional instrument for nearly 40 years. The instrument is called Mbira, and it has been used for centuries in ceremonies by my people the Shona. Last week, I purchased a piece of land in Zimbabwe, where I want to build a Traditional Medicine Centre. I want to teach the young generation, about healing herbs and our Ancestors way of praying. Your website has been forwarded to me, by an indigenous grandmother Shirley from Canada, for me to know that I am in the right path.Thank you, for the good work you are doing, I am very relieved. May you all be blessed.”
–From a Zimbabwean Grandmother

“I myself am Chinese-American; I am 65 years old. I am gratified to see you all in so many places caring for the world. I live in San Francisco, California as well as in Taos, New Mexico. This world needs healing and I do what I can wherever I am. You are an inspiration.”
From a Chinese-American Grandmother

“I weep as the depth and truth of your mission touches my heart and your wise intentions ring out to us all. I am English, Celtic, and with others, feel deeply connected and in total support of all you offer out to the world in prayer and love.”
From an English-Celtic Grandmother

“I read of your journey to the Vatican to deliver the petition to the Pope to rescind the Papal Bull of the 1400’s, and I am impressed and humbled by your actions of peace meeting violence. Your actions are inspiring me to continue a way of peace in my life, and in the neighborhoods in which I live.”
From an inspired soul

About The 13 Grandmothers...

The 13 Grandmothers represent a global alliance of prayer, education and healing for our Mother Earth, all Her inhabitants, all the children – and for the next seven generations to come. They are deeply concerned with the unprecedented destruction of our Mother Earth and the destruction of indigenous ways of life. They believe the teachings of our ancestors will light our way through an uncertain future, and they look to further their vision through the realization of projects that protect our diverse cultures – lands, medicines, language and ceremonial ways of prayer, and through projects that educate and nurture our children.
